WHAT TEENS SAY

Dear Mrs. McGuigan,
I would like to thank you again for coming to talk to our class last week. As I told you after class on Friday, it was less than a year ago that I was pro-choice. Lately I have realized that abortion is simply wrong and there is no getting around it. Thank you so much for helping to reinforce my newfound pro-life opinions.
Hearing all your miracle stories was really amazing. Those stories, I am sure, would help to strengthen anyone’s faith. I think it was really good for our class to hear about these miracles because certainly not everyone is a believer in miracles.
Again, thank you for sharing with us your touching words – I was affected by them in a very positive way.

    — Sincerely, Kristina

I really liked having Mrs. McGuigan talk to us. It was really interesting to hear a lot of the teachings of the church because I don’t know much about the church and I loved her miracle stories. Her stories were really fun to hear and it was so cool to see the petal with Jesus on it and the picture of the Walk for Life with Mary in the tree. I learned a lot from her and I am really glad that she came.
    — Mackenzie

I really enjoyed hearing Mrs. McGuigan, she was very friendly and open. I could tell she had a good heart when we told her our names. Because when each of us spoke, she looked us straight in the eye and smiled. It was amazing to hear her miracle stories and she seemed very optimistic.
I thought she had some very interesting opinions about abortion and contraception; although I didn’t fully agree with everything she thought; I actually took a lot of things to heart, which influenced and changed my opinions. It especially changed my views on the idea that abortion is ok if a woman had been raped. Mrs. McGuigan’s message was very powerful. “The rapist doesn’t even get the death penalty, why should the baby?” Please tell her thank you.

    — Jemma

I learned a lot about abortion from Mrs. McG. Before she spoke to our class, I wasn’t really sure how I felt on the issue. After she left, I couldn’t imagine getting an abortion and killing my baby when all of its organs were developing. When she showed us the size of the fetus when the abortion takes place, it killed me to think that some people have to live with killing their own child…I thought it was very generous that she brought in rosaries for all of us. I would like if she came and talked to our class again soon…
    — Kelsey

I thought it was really fun and very interesting listening to Mrs. McGuigan. She had a lot to share and a lot of information to put in my mind… It was definitely a faith booster.
    — Kerry

I enjoyed when Mrs. McGuigan came because she educated me more about abortion and its effects. Before she came, I knew a little about abortion and knew that it killed unborn children. I did not know that so many women were doing it however. I do believe that abortion is wrong and I totally agree with everything she said and I’m glad she is educating kids my age everywhere.
    — Ryan

I thought that Mrs. McGuigan coming to see us was amazing. She was so cool and down to earth while she was teaching us about miracles and pro-life… It was a great experience!
    — Nick

I thought it was a great experience and I hope she can come talk to us again. Mrs. McGuigan was very good at explaining her opinion without forcing it on me, and she was very persuasive. She had some good points and the evidence to back it up.
    — Travis

Thank you for taking the time to come to our morality class. Before you came, I was pro-choice and didn’t really know the facts about abortion, but after your lecture, I re-evaluated what was morally right. Thanks to you, I know all my facts I need to make an informative decision on my stance on the topic.
    — Sherine

I appreciated her honesty on the subject of abortion. I’ve never really heard the truth about it so bluntly. I was not aware of the different procedures that are done at the various points in the fetal development. Also, her strong faith rubbed off on me and made me want to believe more in God. Her miracle stories were pretty amazing, too.
    — Zoe

I really like your presentation that you shared with our class. I really understood your beliefs and feelings, because I have grown up in a strict Protestant family. I have always been pro-life, and your speech helped to make me see how important it is to be pro-life. Thanks for coming and sharing your views. I really appreciated your visit.
    — Erica

During Mrs. McGuigan’s presentation, I learned so many useful things. Probably the things that stick out most in my mind are the fetus’. When she brought those out, I really realized that so many babies are dying each year…
    — No name

I learned all the principles for pro-life, which I kind of knew already but had forgotten since then. I really liked the models of the baby at different stages during pregnancy…I really liked Mrs. McGuigan. She seemed to have a great sense of humor and a high sense of fashion. (LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL) I liked the rosaries she handed out at the end also…I do wish we could have had more time with her though, one day was rushing it a tad I think. Please thank her for me…It’s always nice to talk to people really educated on certain subjects like abortion and such, because there is constantly so much new stuff one can always learn.
    — Pat

I enjoyed the two days that Mrs. McGuigqn talked to us about abortion and pro-life teachings. Before she came to talk to us, I was unsure whether I was pro-choice or pro-life. I realized I did not know enough facts about abortion to make an educated decision. I am now sure beyond a doubt that pro-life is the right decision thanks to Mrs. McGuigan.
    — Sincerely, Ricky

I enjoyed the stories and they made me think about any miracles that have occurred in my life. But the discussion that really changed my point of view was on abortion. Before we heard Mrs. McGuigan, my views on abortion weren’t really clear. But after seeing the pictures and thinking about innocent babies being killed, it really made me sad. The two days were discussions that were touchy in our community, but they are important things to talk about.
    — Gina

Your presentation really opened my eyes to how I think about abortion. I admire your stand on abortion and you are really making a huge difference in a lot of people’s lives. All your miracle stories were really nice to listen to and made me more conscious of all the different saints and how much of a difference it makes when praying to them. I hope that one day I can emulate your characteristics.
    — Sincerely, Maddie

Dear Mrs. McG.
Thank you for visiting with us and taking the time out of your day, it was greatly appreciated. I personally am pro-life, yet unfortunately many girls I know have gotten abortions. Therefore, I liked the fact that you added facts to the discussion, instead of preaching what we have already been told.
You seemed to me like a very kind-hearted and warm person. So it was easy for me to want to learn from you and listen to both of the discussions.

    — Brittany

Thank you for coming and speaking to us. My position on abortion changed a lot and I now realize how many innocent children are aborted everyday. It’s a horrible thing and people need to stand up for these children and let them live. Thanks again, I learned a lot.
    — Sincerely, Alex

It was very nice of you to take the time to talk to us about a topic that not many people have the courage to talk about.
    — Logan

Coming into the talk I always thought it should be up to the woman to decide to get abortions or not. But you persuaded me a little bit with simply mentioning the fact that the baby could be put up for adoption….I thought it was a good class period and I enjoyed listening to you. And I think it was a big wake-up call for a lot of people about the abortion issue.
